Description :   Pale brown bird. Back and head are black-streaked. Tail is quite wide, marked with black and white tipped.  
     
Habitat :   It is the only african cisticola that is also found in Europe and Asia and even in Australia. This bird inhabits marshes covered with rushes or grassy plains.

Life history :   Display flight is horizontal and ondulated. Breeding takes place during the rainy season. Nest is bottle-shaped and attached to tall grasses.
