Call :  
     
Description :   Differs from the Lesser Honeyguide by being smaller, greenish on the head and faintly streaked on the throat. Its short and thick bill eliminates confusion with the two other small honeybirds found in the region.  
     
Habitat :   Lives in relatively arid savannahs where there are many acacias. It has been seen in the Upemba park.  
     
Behaviour :    
     
Diet :   Feeds on insects and buds. Moves on trunks like woodpeckers.  
     
Life history :   Parasitises the nests of sparrows and of other small birds. The female lays its eggs during the dry season.
