BAK's mission at Kiubo and surroundings date : 25/07/2007     From the 18th till the 22d of July one of our teams went to Kiubo. The mission consisted of two main sections. The recording of geographical data necessary for the establishment of the map of Katanga’s protected areas, and the presentation in the villages of photos dating from the end of the 1940s. These photos feature some of the Congolese people who participated in the creation of the Upemba Park as well as in the scientific mission of exploration from 1946 till 1949. The mission went well and the harvested data turned out to be very interesting. These results are encouraging for the follow-up of our activities
