Visit of BAK at Kayo and at Kiantapo
date : 24/09/2007
On the 17th and 18th of September, a delegation of BAK went to the southern sector of the Upemba National Park. In Kayo, contacts were made with the curator. The delegation, accompanied by a guide kindly provided by the Administrator of Lubudi territory, also visited the cave of Kiantapo and its famous rupestral engravings. After this visit BAK offered a subsidy to the city of Lubudi to participate in the rehabilitation of the roads leading to the touristic sites of the region. This was an initiative of the Minister of the Environment aiming at facilitating the development of tourism in a region rich in spectacular falls and caves.
